Hi!
We are Pierce and Jordy, keen travelers and owners of a magnificent 1992 Troopcarrier, named Snoopy the Troopy. Adventuring Keychains all began from a Christmas present idea for Jordy.
The thought of having lasting memorabilia of our home on wheels was perfect, but it didn’t exist. So through a lot of designing, company searching and producing, the first metal personalised Troopy keyring was made. It was a special one of a kind design, our exact colour and model, that we thought everyone should have the opportunity to own.
Through some more designing and creative intuit, we have designed two more car models, with the potential of many more to come.
In 2021, the world was on the brink of shutting down and the borders were closed. Overseas travel was halted, so we decided to explore our beautiful home country, which was the best decision we have ever made.
We have always been passionate about travel and adventure, so exchanging the comforts of home and a stable job to live on the road and work around the country was a no brainer.
We decided the best way to see all the hidden gems of Australia, was in a magnificent 1992 Troopcarrier. She is a gorgeous pale eucalyptus colour, and we spent 6 months kitting her out in the backyard. Although it’s not any architectural feat of design, we spent an incredibly comfortable and happy 20 months living and exploring.
We designed, produced and installed the entire set up ourselves, using minimal tools and cutting everything from a hand jigsaw. Although it was a hard, time consuming and tedious project, it was fulfilling and comforting knowing the ins and outs of our home on wheels. You could say a paid for, professional set up would have been more pristine, but there is just something about living in a home that you built…
A massive part of our trip was meeting countless beautiful people along the way, whether it was long term friendships or a quick conversation somewhere, it was amazing to witness the love everyone has to offer. For anyone who is contemplating the big lap, do it! Australia has more to offer than you can ever imagine.
